Mr.Pergola offers you two choices. For those who want to use their space in winter, without any snow or worry, you have the Mr.Pergola 4 Season Option. This extremely strong system took two years to develop. Working with engineers, we designed and manufactured it to Canadian Building Code standards. Our mechanism come from and is built in Germany. You can stop it at any angle, not only open or close. Literally any angle to get the most light without the harmful direct rays from the sun.

Our 4-season pergola can handle 62.5 POUNDS OF SNOW and/or ICE per square foot! That’s the equivalent of 24” of WET SNOW! The heaviest type of snow, or 36” of POWDER SNOW. Since snow accumulation is very rarely of uniform makeup, you should not fear the accumulation as we used the Greater Montreal snow fall accumulation as our guide. The slope on our pergolas ensures that there is a constant drip of snow/water dripping down on any sunny day, even when it’s -10 degrees Celsius (black pergolas do better). Thanks to those odd days of +1 to +4 degrees every winter, the snow accumulation is offset on a regular basis.

Our 3-season Pergola is also quite extraordinary. It is the strongest pergola on the market. It lacks the internal reinforcements of the 4-season model but is still built with 6063 and 6061 Aluminum Extrusions, NOT Sheet Metal! The brackets are slightly thinner since it does not need to handle the weight, but make no mistake, it will be stronger and last longer than any pergola on the market. BAR NONE! It can handle any regular first snowfall (2-4cm). They will not bend or break when snow falls from your roof onto the open pergola or if ice accumulates on the blades. Ideally, you leave the blades, what we call “louvres” in our industry, up/vertical before the first snowfall and wait until spring to rotate them again at your leisure.
